Privacy policy

This policy explains what information Drama Unfold collects and how it is used.

Information we collect

You can use the site without an account. If you choose to log in or sign up (with Google or with your email address and a password), we receive your email address, your name and profile picture if Google shares them, and a user ID. Login is handled by Google Firebase Authentication.

When you are logged in, we save which stories you read or listened to and how far you got, so your profile can show your history and let you continue where you stopped. This history is stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore) and only you can see it. When you are not logged in, the same history is kept only in your own browser (local storage). We use this history only to suggest stories under "Recommended for you" and to show your timeline. We do not use your IP address to track what you read.

When you vote in a story poll, your choice is saved only in your own browser (local storage) so the site can remember it. It is not sent to us.

Deleting your account

You can log out at any time from your profile. To delete your account and your history, email contactdramaunfold@gmail.com from the address you signed up with and we will delete it.

Advertising and cookies

We use third-party advertising companies to show ads when you visit the site. These companies may use cookies, web beacons and similar technologies to collect information about your visits to this and other websites in order to show ads that may interest you.

Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings (adssettings.google.com) or www.aboutads.info.

Analytics

We may use privacy-friendly analytics to understand which stories are read. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.

Your choices

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some ads may then be less relevant.
